INTERNAL TITLE: Admission Booth Operator  

MINIMUM STARTING SALARY FOR NEW HIRE:  $10.00/Hourly

This is a full time, NON- permanent field position, which works a forty-hour rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

JOB PURPOSE:

Operate the main admission booth at Hunting Island State Park while providing superior customer service. Job duties entail operating a cash register, handling money, accounting for daily revenue, effective radio communication and customer service through providing guests with park history, park operations, rules and recommendations.

MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Position requires medium to heavy lifting as well as standing and sitting for long periods of time. Exposure to cleaning agents and other materials used in maintaining park facilities and grounds. Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid South Carolina Driver License. Must have a background in handling money and customer service.
