The Beaufort Area Hospitality Association invites restaurants across Beaufort, Port Royal, and the Sea Islands to be part of something bigger—Only From Our Waters.
This initiative is designed to celebrate and elevate those who are committed to serving local and American wild-caught shrimp, while supporting the watermen and shrimpers who are the backbone of our coastal heritage. It’s about authenticity, transparency, and protecting what makes the Lowcountry so special.
By participating, your restaurant becomes part of a trusted network that values quality sourcing and takes pride in delivering a true Lowcountry experience. You’ll receive an official Only From Our Waters decal to display at your business, signaling to guests that you stand behind what you serve. Participating restaurants will also be featured through a robust marketing campaign, including press, digital promotion, and regional visibility through our tourism partners.
This program is built on integrity. In partnership with the University of South Carolina Beaufort Department of Natural Sciences, we’ve established a science-based verification process to ensure confidence for both businesses and consumers.
Participation is simple. It’s a commitment to serve and represent local and/or American wild-caught shrimp with honesty and pride.
